I have been going out with my boyfriend for almost 3 years. We get along great when we are together but because we are both divorced with kids we don't see each other as much as I would like. Neither of us wants to move and take our kids out of their respective school districts. As a mother I can appreciate his dedication to his kids but at the same time I am lonely when we are not together. Another issue is the future, he is a country boy and I am a city girl. He would like to eventually move out to the country near his parents but I can't do that until my kids are grown and I can quit my job which will be at least 10 years. I love him dearly and can't imagine my life without him but I don't like only seeing him 2-3 days out of the week. Should I try to force myself to be happy with the fact that I have someone in my life part-time or do I take a chance and leave to find someone to spend every day with?

You are the only person who knows if you are just settling or will truly be happy with this person.

You "only" see him two or three days a week? How often would you prefer to see him?

I want a husband who I see every day. The problem is I don't know if I would be happier with having someone part-time or finding someone else to love full-time, which may or may not happen.

He's not your husband, he's your boyfriend. I'm sure things would change when you got married.
How old are your kids?
A lot of people who date only see each other on the weekend. You two have kids. How often do you expect to see him?

I think seeing a single father boyfriend two and three times a week is a lot.

I didn't see my husband two or three times a week because we both worked full-time, I had dogs, we both had lives, we both had houses/residences to maintain.

Sometimes you have to be realistic. Wonder if OP is looking for a reason to end the relationship - ?
