Our old Venstar thermostat died this morning so we bought a Honeywell RTH2300B to replace it. We carefully labeled all of the wires before removing from old thermostat. We had R, Y1, W1, G and C. The instruction manual states that we should abandon the C wire. We following directions for connecting all other wires. When the unit is switched to COOL hot air starts blowing out of the vents. Please help. We have already tried swapping the Y1 and W1, as well as swapping the G and Y1 to no avail.
