This is shalini.. I am 26 years old.. I got married in January . I & my partner had unprotected sex in February... immediately I took ipill(birth control) tablet . I started to bleed after 1 week and bleeding was normal . In March , I again took an ipill tablet... I started bleeding after 3 days and the bleeding was scanty . In April I didn't get my periods... after that every month (may , June, July,august) I get regular periods but scanty menstruation... is it the side effects of ipill? Do I have to go for check up? Waiting for your answer.

I'm assuming that this "ipill" is a plan b pill taken after unprotected sex to reduce the chance of pregnancy? If so, it does have side effects, and missing a period is one of them. But, you should also know that the morning after pill, plan b, or ipill, is not 100% effective. Pregnancy is still possible.

Have you tried a pregnancy test?

I had taken "Niel - 72 emergency contraceptive pill ". YES I have done pregnany test twice, and the result was negative.
