Getting old bank records with bank one
I need to find a check that I cashed in 1992 with Bank One. I am being asked what the start date was when I first began my employment. Unfortunately, this is for a disability claim.

As most banks only keep records for between 6 and 10 years you are most likely going to be out of luck here, I'm afraid.

Thank you. I did find out the Chase is the bank that took it over. I need to find out when I cashed a particular check where I was once employed. STRS has requested the date I was employed and I don't know what to do.

Even if you had a copy of the check it wouldn't tell you when you started - all it would do is tell you the date of your first pay day. If you can remember the month I suggest that you simply say that you started on the Monday that's the start of the third week - that's a date that is near the middle of the month, and is probably close enough as I suspect that getting the exact date for a job you started over 10 years ago isn't that critical. But if getting the exact date is critical then I suggest that you call the HR department of the former employer and ask if they can look it up in your personnel records.

Actually, it is extremely important because of laws that were made and you needed to be hired by a specific date (July 29,1992).
