I firmly believe that they can hear us, so just tell him, No you will not be able to talk to him back where he can tell you what he wanted to say.

It could be as simple as "I can't breathe" or "I love you" or even sorry about some event in the past.. If he had a million dollars buried someone you are just out of luck.
