My nephew went in to foster care just 7 years ago now I have no idea where he is or where to start looking I have no contact with my brother or my nephews mother as there were drug issues about them , I really would like contact with him and for my children to have a relationship with him , I'm not looking to take him away from his now family as that wouldn't be fair on a child but I just want to know if he is OK I'm an aunty and I have seen him only 3 times I feel he may not even know about me I feel so ashamed of my brother the way he turned out in life but I don't want to be cut from the same cloth how would I go about finding my nephew can anyone help please x

Where?

In most areas the foster care system is not going to make the child available to you. He has had upset in his life and, until he is 18, he "probably" cannot be found.

Is the child in foster care OR was he adopted - if you know?

At the time the child was placed in foster care did anyone from the family attempt to get custody?
