What to do when boyfried moves out and still has a key
What do I do if I told my boyfried to get out of the house which is in my name only. He still has a key and I can't afford to get the locks changed until next week so he can come in and out while I am not there. I have put most of his things in a storage building outside and I told him this but I don't know if he has come to get them because he locked it while I was at work and he has they key on his car keys ring. Also, I don't want to see him because a lot has happened that I can forgive him for & it will never work

We have tried 3 times over the past 6 years & we love each other but he has blow ups and is verbally abusive

What do you mean what do you do? The only thing you can do is change the locks. My question is, why can't you afford to change the locks? So if he decides to go and steal things from you, can you afford to replace those things?

Seems like a no brainer to me.

Well he used the debit card & I now have like 10 left until next week when I get paid. Also, I'm not trying to keep his stuff & I do't think he would take anything that is not his and I don't want to make him made because he has a bill me later account that has a 600 balance and it is in my name and he may decide to stick me with it

Well I want him to get his things I'm not trying to keep them but I don't get paid until next week and he used the debit card and there is like 10 left (I have canceled his card). I also don't want to piss him off because he has a bill me later account that is in my name with a 600 balance

Then if he isn't going to steal anything then what's the big issue? It's your house, if he shows up and you don't want him there, call the police. Plain and simple.

I know what you mean. You'll just have to put up with it until you can properly change the locks and have him pick up his stuff. It will be tough, but it's only as hard as you make it.

Stay strong, there's plenty of guys out there who will treat you right.
