I'm looking for help with an 80's song that was definitely featured in one of those classic movies like valley girl or pretty in pink or one of those. It's a guy singing and he says something like "I'm sorry but I just can't seem to" or something alone those lines and then later he says something like "honestly" it sort of sounds like Blue October stole something of this song's sound in their latest single "Into the ocean" especially when the singer sings the line "I want to swim away, but don't know how" that reminded me of the song in first place and I am having severe brain block. If anyone gets this one, I will be really really impressed, seriuosly I realize how ridiculous I'm being and that I'm missing lots here, but I hope someone has something for me. :D
