    Failure to remove wisdom tooth
6 days ago I had an appt to remove my wisdom tooth I was told this should be an easy removal, however after 45minutes of pulling the procedure was stpeed for fear of breaking my jaw and I was sent home with pain killers. My jaw swelled and I have been in agony since, I am unable to work and can only have liquids as the pain is intolable to have my upper and lower teath touch. My jaw has slightly more movement but still hurts. I returned and was told I need to wait for the swelling to go down. I am waiting for a appt to have the tooth revoved under general anesthetic but wanted to know is this normal 6 days later to be in constant pain I am normally quite tough but this has floored me... Thank you

With teeth removal there is no "normal" and what pain you can take, or not take is different from mine. I had 10 teeth removed and was at work the next day, another person has 2 removed and they miss 4 days work.

But yes it will be painful, I am surprised they did not just switch over to do it under surgary while you were there, if they do it in the same office
