I've had a rash that developed after multiple days in the sun. it's been about a week and I've tried almost every home remedy I can think of. Its only on my chest and arms and a little on my back where it was exposed to the sun. tonight it has gotten super itchy and burns. It's making it unbearable to sleep. I've used hydrocortisone cream and I've tried benedryl. Do I try to wait it out and see if I can get an appointment tomorrow or is there something else I can try.

First, second and third degree burns can be caused by the sun, depending on the person's skin type. You could have one of these but the hydrocortisone cream probably irritated the damaged skin making it itchy. Yes, I would advise having the burns seen to by a doctor.

They aren't burns. It's just a suntan. I am half korean and while this year I was pretty pale to begin the summer season and got my first sunburn in my life a few months ago. It's just so uncomfortable tonight I just can't decide whether to wait it out till the am or just head up to the er tonight.
