Does hydromorphone, phenyl patches sometimes show up as oxycontein in urine?
The urine test has both shown as phentyl and hydocodone when it wasn't taken. Can urine test be this accurate, yet be wrong, or both meds cause similar affects?

You have me confused with the medications. The patch contains what medication? And what is it showing up as on the test?

Sorry I was confusing. Duragesic patches, same as phenthyl patches taken w oxymorphone. Urine test showed that oxycontin was in urine and I've never taken that. Can there be a mix up in urine analysis, very precise urine test. I don't know why it showed up. Thank you

Duragesic is fentanyl... correct? And you are also prescribed oral oxymorphone?

Oxymorphone is a metabolite of Oxycodone (Oxycontin). At the screen level most tests could not distinguish between the two. If confirmatory test GC/MS> was used the two can be distinguished. While Oxycontin would be expected to produce Oxymorphone the opposite should not occur. Do you have a copy of the test report available?
