Hello my 1992 Honda Accord D4 light blinks on and off and call will turn over but will not start, I shift the shifter to park and to low several times and let set and then it will start up after you hear clinking sounds in the dash near the instrument gauge panel.

I have taken it to the transmission shop to have the solinoids checked on the transmission , they showed to be good.

So what could be the problem.

I suspect intermittent ECM failure. When the ECM works, you hear the main relay click and the engine starts. Common problem on older Hondas.
