95 Honda Del Sol- Intermittent Cutting on and off WHILE Driving!
How about a 95 Honda Del Sol, NEW Main Relay already, New Plugs, Rotor, Wires, etc...

INTERMITTENT problem. Car dies while you are driving. NEW Fuel pump already installed. Could be a Dirty Computer Module Contact? It has over 200K on it.

    Thanks so much! Harold

Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil inside the distributor. Apply silicone heat transfer compound to the back of the new ICM.

Thanks! I'm looking on Rock Auto for the Part, but all they seem to sell is the actual Distributor, which has been replaced already. Is the ICM the same as the Coil? It looks different in the Pics.

I'm pretty good with cars and have restored over 25 cars already. But this Del Sol - My Wife's car, is giving me fits! Lol..

ICMs and coils are different. Check out Advance Auto Parts' or AutoZone's site. If the problem persists, after replacing the ICM and coil, focus on the distributor housing. Most aftermarket distributors for Hondas have not worked at AMHD. I only recommend genuine Honda distributor housings, where it fine to install an aftermarket ICM and coil to keep the cost down.
