What's wrong? You took it at only two weeks late... you need at least a full FOUR weeks before you can rely on the test to be accurate.

Wait two more weeks and try again.

You should be able to get an accurate result (in most cases) once you are late for your period, assuming you have had a regular cycle.

Most doctors will ask you to wait at least two more weeks before testing again to see if your period arrives or you get a positive result. Then, they would schedule an exam. If you can't wait, call your doc and ask for a blood test.

How can she possibly get an accurate test result as soon as she's late if #1, she isn't taking a basal temp readings and charting them daily to know when she actually ovualtes... and #2 have any idea on what date said implantation took place unless she only had sex once that month..

Otherwise It might have occurred only days before her period was due... and that's too early for tests to provide acurate results... and by accurate, I mean a false negative being very unlikely, and why 4 weeks after she misses her period covers all the bases if it happened late in her cycle instead of assuming it happened early into it.

Smoothy, just have to say that I tested less than a week after my missed period with all three of my pregnancies, and got an accurate positive for all three.
