My name is tori and my landlord just bought us a used "amiral energy saver dishwasher" and we have the faucet connector that seems to be in all the pictures and the answere to many questions on here like mine. But when I turn the water on the hose just pops off. Do I need a different connector for a dishwasher that old? Thank you for your time

From your description, it appears to me you don't have correct connector. Usually, portable dishwashers come with universal connectors that attach to most of the regular faucet spouts. Double check your installation. Make sure it is attached properly. If screwed onto the spout, make sure the treads are not stripped. Back to you. Milo

Are you sure you are getting the connection to the tap correct; you pull the ring down on the dishwasher hose and connect it firmly, but yes, I just looked at mine and it does have a different fitting on the tap. It is a connector that screws into the tap. Hardware store would help you if you told them what you needed.
