Usually the hallmark, which states the material, and designer, is on the inside of jewelry.
Sadly I've never heard of the hallmark you posted. But that's what it is. The hallmark.
You may find an answer if you Google, and spend many days researching. Other than that, you'd have to get really lucky and find the one person in millions that knows what it stands for. It's a needle in a haystack.
What type of metal is the jewelry? And is their a stone in the piece? Any idea where it came from? Where it was made?
I think it is 14K gold. It is a Lion's face. There were two small red stones in the eye and a pale blue in its mouth. I haven't looked at it in years; the stones may be missing.During the Great Depression, many people did not trust pawn shops, so they would hock stuff with trusted friends. That was the story my grandmother told me about how my grandfather had obtained it. She gave it to me not long before she died. The halmark reads CJco which a friend joked that it was Cracker Jacks company. I'm just curious about the hallmark.--Later--Paul
I have a ring that was my grandmothers, the story is it was a friendship ring. It's a goldish band with little paisley type markings stamped around the band. It to has the C.J.Co stamped inside of it and was wondering what it meant? If you ever find out, I would love to know.
Thanks
Shannon
