Well, I have an entity that seems to go by the name Jakob Smith (the surname also being common in my family tree) and I have known him for many years, whenever I need some help he will most likely be there to help me on tough decisions, and acts mostly as a guardian angel who I can call for. However what can make me doubt in his reliability is that, sometimes, this entity can be the one that causes damage, whether it is harming me or others close to me. I've never been with anybody that can deal with the paranormal to see if they have any knowledge of his presence but it seems what he does is with good intentions and is willing to put me first, but it's emotionally straining how one day everything could be perfect but changes when I become threatened. If its worth mentioning: To seem closer and see a clearer image I travel to the astral plane at night where he can help clear my mind. But I don't know. Is he just a lost soul? Or some kind of guardian?

If you travel to the astral plane, which is a very dangerous practice which you should stop if you can, I really really doubt that you have brought back some benign spirit. How long have you been having OOBEs (out of body experiences)?

Anything, absolutely anything is travelling in those paths, just waiting to pick up someone travelling this way. I hope you haven't brought back a demon, or something not quite benevolent on one of your travels.

It sounds rather mischievous, helpful one minute, not the next which leads me to believe he is toying with you until he gets tired of the games and then you have to watch out.

That is my sense of what you are saying.

Well he doesn't seem that to create harm is of priority, and I realise I am stubborn to believe that he only here to do so.

It would help if I could remember the first time I could see him but sadly I do not. I know that I didn't find him in the astral plane, and I've only really had trouble there once recently.

I remember that I used to think of him as my bad conscience and try to persuade me. But he has changed since then, I can tell. Whenever I call for him he'll be here to help, and I generally feel safer and have an amount of luck when he's around

A Guardian angel or any angel would not ever get you into any trouble, so rule an angel out.
So while you may not be seeing the evil, there are only good and evil, so it is obviously not good, that only leaves evil spirit.

If its worth mentioning, whenever I can tell he's nearby or sense his presence, I will sneeze. It's really odd. This only happens with him, and nobody else. When he gets closer I will continue to sneeze. It's like my little defence mechanism.

Sneezing in the presence of an entity is not new to me.

I really must caution you again, to limit your travels on the astral plain. It really is quite dangerous. There are undesirable hitchhikers there who would really like a chance to cause havoc amongst human kind, or cause danger for you.

I am waiting for our other resident paranormal expert, haunting helper, to come forward with his input here.

I'm not new to this, I've had problems in the past and I have learnt from experiences but the only danger I have is that this.. person, likes trying to tease me, and that's what goes wrong, it just seems that things that have happened are really accidental. I just don't know anymore though.

Then you haven't learned enough. Astral travel is more than what it seems... and so is this entity you have. As Fr_Chuck put it... one can quickly rule out that it is not an angel.

Ok, I've dealt with it. Turns out all it wanted to do was get close and harm you. But at least there's a bright side. I found my guardian
