Does hydrocodone leave similar results as cocaine in blood?
I have not taken any drugs. They tamolites what ever that is in my blood, but no cocaine or marijuana? I was taking hydrocodone for leg pain from a previous bad infection to my leg. I did not use cocaine why would those tamolites be in my blood?

Hydrocodone is what I call a wild card drug. It is liable to show up as a wide array of different drugs on an initial screen. What that means is that you were probably half-tested, immunoassay only without confirmatory test.

However, the hydrocodone metabolite hydromorphone can be detected on GC/MS testing and then it must be measured in ratio.

It is unusual to obtain a cocaine positive with hydrocodone but possible. My first guess would be simply an error (screens are known for that) that could be corrected through confirmation.

Where did the test results come from?

I was tested at a hospital. I was threatened by the police that if I did not take the test I would have my license suspended. I had just got out of work travelled less than a mile when I had ad accident caused by being inattentive. No achohol, no cocaine, no marijuan was found in my urine or marijuana. The cop stated I informed him I had smoke earlier that week? First of all I would not have admitted to such nonsense. If so why did they not find any marijuana in my system. He lied I informed my public defender I said no such thing, but have been taking Hydrocodone for a few weeks due to my leg injury and also a few pills of codiene I got from my wife, but 99% of the time hydrocodone.

They found no marijuana, no cocaine in my system. I agreed only because I knew I had taken no such drugs and then they say the metabolite thing.

I'm missing something. If the parent drug (cocaine) was not found then the metabolite (Benzoylecgonine* (BE)) cannot be used to demonstrate a current state of impairment.**

Do you have a copy of the test results? Should make certain of the metabolite present.

*BE is metabolite most often tested for.
