Statue of limitation in Nova Scotia
I have an old credit card debt from 1998-1999. In 2005 a collection agency contacted me by letter wanting to collect. At that time I sought professional help from a debt relief company. I was told not to worry about it because the statue was about to run out. Recently I have been contacted again. What is the statue of limitation in Nova Scotia? From what I know it is 6 years from your last payment. If I decide to approach this company what information can I pass on to them?

I am pretty sure you are right on it being 6 years.

Just tell them that the SOL has expired and to have a nice day.

If they sue you, tell the judge the SOL has expired, and you will win your case.
