Hi I had sex with my ex girlfriend 11/28/11 she is due in September 12,2012 she was with a guy in novemer and December they got together he got her pregnant and then left her a month later went to jail now she is looking for me pointing the finger that I'm the dad now is there any possible chance it could be I been adding up but it seems to me it don't match I know I'm going to have to do a dna test but I'm worried it might be mine and I don't want to take responsibility and its not even mine and my girlfriend is getting mad,, please help is it possible or impossible its mine?

Any issues surround potential paternity can ONLY be dealt with via a DNA test.
This would be safest to conduct AFTER the birth of the child.

BUT some simple math shows that it is highly UNlikely you are the father, assuming the last sexual encounter was the end of November.
That would then indicate a due date August or early September the following year.

Sexual activity in December is much more likely to have fathered any child.

I agree with Ben. Although it is possible that you could be the father, chances are very slim and it seems likely to be the other guy. Do the DNA test when it's time and then there is no question.

Thank you I have not been able to sleep at all and lots of restless night as well as fights with my current girlfriend... my mom has been going with my ex to sonograms even though she knows there is possibility its not mine and my is still going to be there if its not mine and its driving me nuts I can't wait to take the DNA test so I can start my life with my new girlfriend! My ex is trying hard to mess things up

December 17-25.

If there is a question of paternity the only way to know is DNA testing.

drcapola, you do have to realize that we only have the due date you posted to go by. Due dates are a guess, not an exact. In other words, the due date could be off, in fact it can be off by 2 weeks in either direction, which adds up to a month.

So the baby could be yours. You'll have to wait until it's born and have a DNA test done. Going by the due date alone is not accurate.

If you WANT to be the "Dad" of this baby you don't have to be the "father." Know what I mean?

So maybe you aren't the natural father - that doesn't mean you can't be the Dad the child looks up to, loves, looks to for protection and love.

Wait and see what the DNA proves.
