NO pedal when trying to brake
I have a '95 Nissan pickup 2 wheel drive 4 cylinder. About a month ago I started having problems braking (pedal went to floor). I have changed the master cylinder no luck, checked the lines and callipers no leaks, pads are still good front and back. I have about 230,000 miles on the truck and it just now began having problems. I was told by the local Nissan dealer that my truck was a between truck. Meaning they used my year of truck to test new items when they did not work well they moved on leaving little or no replacement part to be found. Found this out when I had a headlight problem after replacing almost everything I could think of costing $$$ finding out it was the wiring on the positive battery cable leading to the headlights. Long story short the part is no longer made so they had to hard wire everything in to the clamp of the positive battery cable. So if anyone can help me with this problem it would be greatly helpful do not want to spend big money at a dealer if it is a simple fix I can do.

    Thanks

You must have air in the system. I would bleed the whole system, using Valvoline SynPower Brake Fluid. With a Cal-Van One Man Bleeder, it's a 45 minute job. Bleed RR, LF, LR, and RF.

Get a good set of flare wrenches and check all fittings. I suspect air is entering somewhere.

Bad master cylender or air in lines. Grease monkey is right,, check all fittings. When in dout go to the dealer. I am going through terrible probs with my 98 ford escort,, mechanic said it was a bad part. My main seal has been leaking since I had the transmission replaced,, he has tried 4 times and has to pull thje tranny 4 times and finally I will get the car back tomorrow, so he says. By the way only hadthe car 2 weeks. Talk about bad luck,, 4 thousand dollars for car and tranny and I have to get my wife to give me a ride to work.
