Cold Water Only on One Handled Tub/Shower Faucet
I have cold water only in my tub/shower. The faucet is a moen 82008SRN single handle. The faucet is in a guest room that has not been used in 3-4 years. The sink that runs off the same water line runs hot. The sink is further down the water line. Do I have a problem with temperature limit stop kit or the replacement cartridge? Could it be something else? I've noticed on multiple threads that water needs to be shut off and drained before attempting repair. Are there any concerns on draining water, and having a gas water heater?

This was an easy fix. Turns out there's a cartridge that needs to be replaced. Moen has detailed instructions here. http://www.moen.com/consumer-support/installation-help/tutorial?id=moen0133 If you only have hot or cold water this will probably fix.
