    Breastfeeding ?
What happens to your breastmilk if you choose to not breastfeed? Some people have told me your body absorbs the milk, others have told me it turns to fat in your body, I'm not sure if it varies depending on the woman, if you opted not to breastfeed, did your breasts go back to their original size prior to pregnancy or did they stay a bigger size due to the milk becoming body fat?

If you don't breastfeed, you will stop producing the milk. Generally, breasts return to their former size once milk production ceases. The "turns into fat" thing is baloney. Whoever is wondering these things can ask her doctor. The doctor will affirm.

Breast milk is produced by a theory of supply and demand. The more often you put the baby to the breast, the more milk you will produce. The opposite is also true... If you never put the baby to the breast, you don't produce milk.

However, with that said, some non-breastfeeding do produce minimal amounts of breast milk that is slowly leaked out of the breast while the rest is reabsorbed into the body.
