    Cooker switch?

    Hob?

If the unit contiues to work with switch off, the switch is defective.

If you trying to work on wiring and found it live with the switch off, then shut off the circuit breaker.

Use more words to describe the situation, what are you trying to do, what type of appliance?

This is what we call a range. The OP is in the UK (most likely).

lanely, TK is right. You are not really asking a question, and the details we have are not enough to help you. Please tell us more, and also confirm your country so maybe someone local to you can help.
