I take Lortab prescribed by my doctor. I am a nurse working at a nursing home. At change of shift, the on-coming nurse questioned a Morphine tablet. Said it "doesnt look right." The DON came & looked. She agreed the pill did not match the others. I was given a drug test. It was negative for Morphine, But... Positive for hydrocodone & OXYCODONE ! BUT I DO NOT TAKE OXYCODONE! WHAT TO DO?

That is not at all unusual with hydrocodone at the screening level. It can cross react with many if not most opiate panels. This oxycodone/hydrocodone conversion is noted in most package inserts for the test used.

To adequately address your question would need to know if this resulted from an immunoassasy (screen) or if there is a quantified result by LC/MS, GC/MS
