My boyfriend and I are planning to have sex but Im scared of ending up pregnant.

We plan to use.
A condom
Spermicide (he's going to put some inside the condom, and outside )
And plan b one step.
(I will take the plan b 2 hours after having sex)

If the condom rips but since the spermicide would already be inside me (from the condom and him qoinq in etc. Will I get pregnant?

Am I safe if we use all 3?
How safe will I be?
Also I'm 19.

As a labor and delivery nurse, I don't agree.

On a personal note, I used the birth control pill AND a condom and got pregnant not once, but twice. I was also rendered sterile due to strong chemotherapy 15 years ago and I now have a 10 year old son.

One of my colleagues on the site used the pill, condom AND spermicide and got pregnant.

In the end, there is no 100% safe way to avoid pregnancy without avoiding sex altogether.

I would also like to add that the Plan B should never be considered a form of birth control and should only be used very minimally.

It is safer than not using anything at all, but all of them have a failure rate. Some more than others. Condoms have up to a 10 percent failure rate, and the rest can fail, lets say there is only a (estimate) 3 percent chance of pregnancy.

How safe is that, if there were 100 guns laying out on the floor, only 3 are loaded, would you be OK to just pick up one and use it.
