    What tax return can I apply for
    I have J-1 visa and I am working as research scholar
    Originally I am from republic of Georgia
    This is my second visit to USA, so since 2006 I am resident alien and I am deducted FICA,MEDICARE and STATE DISAB taxes can I apply for these tax refund and what form do I need?

    Please give me the exact timeline of all of your visits (dates of visits under which visa) so that I can verify your assumption that you are a resident alien.

    My first visit to USA was from June 14, 2002 till June 9, 2004 J-I visa as research scholar,
    My second visit is July 1, 2006 till May 31, 2008 J-1 visa

    The time for exempt status under the J-1 visa is two years, which you have exceeded.

    You are in fact a resident alien and you cannot get the FICA taxes refunded.

    And what about MEDICARE and State disability tax:confused: ? And do I need to apply for tax return I wish I don't have to, because I have no idea how to do this:D

    Boht Medicare and state disability payments are not refundable as well.

    Yes, you need to file a tax return (Form 1040/1040A/1040EZ).
