We have been dating for 8 months and although he sends me a text every day and a weekly email he never phones me. I have asked if we could have the occasional 5 minute phone call, but this hasn't happened. He is busy. We get together on the weekend and have a wonderful time together. He is very conversational but says he is too busy to call during the week. Am I letting this bother me more than it should? Thanks for your help.

I've dealt with both sides of the coin. I have a guy now that phones but doesn't text. The previous boyfriend texted regularly but didn't call for the first 8-12 months of our relationship. If he's in contact with you daily then I wouldn't concern yourself with his interest level. Some people just aren't phone people. Have you tried initiating the phone call? You should and when you're about to end the conversation tell him how much you enjoyed talking with him and hearing his voice. Give him positive encouragement about how it made you happy to have that phone chat and that maybe you guys can catch up more often via phone.
