    Can a probation officer ask you if your on birth control? Also ask if you protecting yourself when having sex?

    They can ask you, unless you were guilty of some areas of sex crimes you don't have to tell them. But they can ask you anything they want

    Probation officers have GREAT latitude in their ability to SEARCH their charges... However, you DO still have SOME rights to privacy, and asking about your sex life is WAYYYY overboard.

    That would be of course, as the Padre pointed out, unless the terms of your probation and/or your conviction is related to the inquiry. If not, I'd just flatly REFUSE to answer crap like that.

    My thought was perhaps they were a hooker or something and part of the probation was not to have sex for money and/or the PO worried they were not using condoms if they were still working ?

    More information about the crime they are on PO for would help, if not I can come up with 100 what if's

    Actually it, has nothing to do w sex crimes, the pribation,officer, was telling the,person if, she uses protection because she,said she had to many kids...

    Yes PO can say that sort of trash, they often try to make the person on probation mad so they will say or do something wrong at the meeting, this is a good sign that the PO most likely wants them to fail.

    Either that or the other way, the PO thinks they are some sort of social worker and wanting to try to make them live "right"
