My boyfriend and I were together for 8 years and he broke up with me almost 2 years ago. I cried every day for 2 years. I recently have found a happy place, but then I found out he has a new girlfriend and it broke my heart all over again. During our 8 years he cheated on me and had 3 different children by 3 different women. I was pregnant too but lost the baby. I am devastated that he now has a new girlfriend and that it’s really over between us. Why can’t I just move on from all of this pain?

The question is not "Why can’t I just move on from all of this pain?" but it's "Why am I letting my life get taken over by this idiot?".

All the pain you have from all of this is all your fault. Only you are holding yourself back, only you are grieving over someone who does not love you and only you are choosing to hold on.

Stop wasting your life crying over what was not meant to be. There are plenty of guys out there if you just stop crying, go out and look. You'll find someone who doesn't cheat on you and treats you the way you deserve to be treated. The only person stopping you from having that right now is you. So stop letting yourself hold you back from living a happy life!
