Grace period after signing lease Sacramento, Ca.
Is there a grace period after signing a lease? A friend of mine signed a lease 2 days ago and has changed their mind. They live in Sacramento, California.

    Hello m:

Nope. When you SIGN a lease, you're OBLIGATED.

Generally no... have they talked with the leasing company yet... I assume they haven't gotten the keys yet so talking to them ASAP might accomplish something even if there might be a fee charged as the place will have to be relisted... then there was the time the paperwork took to process they should be compensated for.

They might be held to the full terms of the lease legally, and they can be... just don't expect to walk away even with an agreement without it costing something at the very least.

Once the signature is made and the papers are handed back... its a legal contract... and binding. There is no grace period.
