    Very sensitive skin down there
    Hi.
I am 20 years old. I have a problem with very sensitive skin. After having intercourse with my partner I experience very painfull skin on my vagina. It feels as if my skin stretches after having intercourse, we thought that it might be dryness and tried lube but it made no difference. What can be the reason for this to happen?

This is not uncommon especially if you haven't had many sexual experiences. The skin in this area is sensitive by nature and it indeed can stretch (especially if your partner is large). If you feel dry you can try more lube (not all lubricants are created equally) or becoming more aroused before penetration.

Water based lubricants are safe for condoms and easy to clean up but sometimes aren't as lubricating and might require re-application if you get the cheap drug store varieties. Fortunately there are lots of condom-safe water based lubricants out there that reduce friction... some you can even by in regular stores.

If you are feeling burning, irritation or pain -- talk to your doctor to make sure you don't have another health problem or issue.
