2009 I was prosecuted for damage to a social housing door--i was given a conditional discharge --and had to pay for the door ---i have been clear of any further wrong doing --It was a first offence --i am going to canada to live with my older boyfriend --i am 70 years --will this show on a canadian check --and will it affect my application for canadian residency

Yes it will show up, but may not hinder your admisibility. When you are screened and it does show, a fee will be charged to investigate the situation. If they find the incident was not of a serious nature a waiver will be issued.
