    What should I do?
My marriage is falling apart after only two and a half years. We've been together ten years and had a daughter four and a half years ago and a son eighteen months ago at my husband’s pressure to "go again". A few months ago we had to decide on a school for our daughter to start in and because I do all the running with the kids my preference was one on my way to work and where I had 3 other people to collect her if a problem arose.

My husband’s mother disagreed with my decision and refused to look after the children if I sent them to my choice of school. My husband who didn't have an opinion up to this point then went mental and refused to back me up. He smashed my phone so I couldn't contact any of my family and threaten d to hit me.

7 months later and my daughter is due to start school and I am sticking to my own choice of school, he has not helped in any way towards getting her ready for it constantly puts me down and does nothing to help with everyday looking after kids or home except when his family is around to visit and then he takes kids away to his mother’s next door as none of them come to ours when I am there.

I'm at my wits end and don't know what to do.

The fact that he threatened to get physical is enough to be a deal breaker for me.
He is not being supportive, and he does not respect you. I would be looking for an attorney.
Will he do counseling? Although I would bet not, unless his mother told him it's OK. He'd be gone. He can support his children but he would not be living with me.

Take you kids and leave, and let mommy take care of him.
