    Part of blood clot gone?
I had 4 teeth extracted 3 days ago. Last night, what seemed to be a portion of one of the blood clots fell out into my mouth. I am very paranoid about dry socket. I looked at the site it came from and I don't think I saw bone. When I gently touch with my tongue, there is still a smushy feeling there, nothing hard. Am I OK, or do I need to call my dentist?

If you start feeling an aching pain that wasn't there before, you should. Your dentist can treat dry socket, if you do get one. The treatment lessens your pain and allows the area to heal.

No new pain really, it feels like it did before, just a bit sore around the gum edge.

That's good. My dry sockets had a dull aching pain. Couldn't miss it. Good luck and I hope you don't have any more pain!
