Hi I got given a PC ages ago , been brill but due to my old monitor braking I was forced to put away in cuboard for few months... anyway go new monitor that's works brill as I've linked it to my laptop and brought all new cables also but having a prob as monitor when linked says no signal input and this is when I use both onboard and added video card my comp starts up like it always has done and also beeps like it use to but now wondering what could be the prob... help please :)

Reseat the cables between the monitor and the video card. It isn't recognizing a link between the 2.

If reseating the cables dose not work try the monitor on a different computer. Remember reseating cabled includes unplugging the connection and reconnecting.
