I litteraly was counting our pennies to pay for medicine for my Basset Hound and we always take out and keep the wheat ones. Most all have had a mint mark but this 1940 one doesn't. Was wondering how much it may be worth?
Thanks, Sheri

If not in excellent condition it's probably worth around $0.30 or so. The absence of a mint mark means it was made in Philadelphia. See:
