    Old movie expert
There was this old movie, I only caught the tail-end of it. The last 5-10 minuted went like this. Woman and man confront in apartment, they discuss some sort of crime, solved/ or unsolved, that took place earlier in the movie. The man may or may not have become a bit defensive, and the woman countered back. She accused him of something to do with the before-mentioned crime, and the man must have known not only was he not guilty, but that the woman knew the evidence that would effectively solve the case. She apparently realized he realized, and didn't want to reveal this about the case/crime, so she told the man how if she jumped, it would appear to be a murder, because of the scenario and because he is already a murder suspect. The man pleaded with her not to, but she did anyway. Police may or may not have been at the base of the building, because he seemed to panic a bit. I do not remember how he got out of that dilemma, but I know he did because I am 85% positive the movie ends with the man and a woman (probably an earlier-introduced character) dining in a fancy environment, and what seems to be a tropical environment as well. I have been searching for the movie (not obsessively, but feverishly) for the past 4 years, and I would really be relived to know the answer to my question! Thanks a bunch!

    Dark Passage (1947)
Starring Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall (Mrs. Bogart), Agnes Moorehead (as the woman who falls out of the window)
    Wikipedia synopsis excerpt:
Parry heads to Madge's place. Knowing that she doesn't recognize him with this face, he pretends to be a friend of Bob's interested in courting her. Parry eventually reveals his true identity and accuses a terrified Madge of having killed his wife and George as well. Madge points out that without a confession, his accusations will be worthless. But while turning away from him, she falls through a window to her death.
Knowing that he cannot prove his innocence, and that he will likely be accused of Madge's murder on top of the others, Parry has no choice but to flee. He intends to get to Mexico and then South America. He phones Irene, revealing his plans. The next time he is seen, Parry is having a drink in a nightclub in Peru when he spots Irene across the dance floor. They embrace.

This is one of my all-time favorite movies. Once upon a time, it was hardly ever shown, but people must be appreciating it more, as TCM airs it more.
