    Noisy toilet
My toilet is making noise like some one is pumping the water back into the toilet. It is happening when no one is using the toilet. It has also stopped up, then just gone down on its own. Is this a vent problem?

Does this happen when another toilet is flushed?

Does this happen when another bathroom fixture is drained? More details please. Back to you, Tom

No, it just start pumping like some one is blowing air into it. I hear the noise and I check to make sure it doesn't overflow.
I can also hear the noise in the kitchen drain. Thanks...

I believe that the two are separate issues. Let's start with the toilet. Take the lid off and see if you can localize the sound. Also run your fingers around the flat edge of the flapper. Does it have wavy or rough edges? How high's the tank level? Back to you, Tom
