Car starts back up when I pump the gas pedal

Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) inside the distributor. Apply silicone heat transfer grease to the back of the new ICM. Replace the rotor and distributor cap, if they have not been changed in 60,000 miles. Problems with them (high resistance) often kill ICMs.
