28 weeks pregnant, and need some answers asap please!
I am a 21 year old, petite built height: 5"0 weight: 105 and expecting my first child. I am currently 28 weeks and I've been to a couple of my regular check up appointments and the OB residents informed me about my measurements not increasing by much so they squeezed me in for an ultrasound later on that day to find out what's the baby's growth like. The ultrasound indicated that the baby is small he only weight's 1lb 14 oz. lays under the 5th percentile and they would expect baby to be in the 10th percentile, also I was informed that my amniotic fluid is low. They told me they would keep an eye on the baby now and do a couple of more ultrasounds to see if there's any changes with the baby's weight, if there's no changes they would have me deliver and try to do it at least when I'm 32 weeks they asked me not to worry that they wouldn't have me deliver now at 28 weeks. I am very nervous, and am wondering what is causing my baby to be small, what can prevent him from growing the way he should? Is it because I am built small? Or is it that the baby is not getting enough nutritients from my placenta, if so how can that be diagnosed? I do eat but since I am small I get a full stomach quickly, but in about 2 hours I would get hungry, eat again and snack in between. I have tried overeating and it causes me to vomit, is there anything else that I can do in this situation to help my baby's growth and increase my amniotic fluid?
