    Trying to keep piercing...
I got my pierced back in February 2012. In July, I started to notice a bump growing on the upper part of the piercing. It's not hard but it's aggravating just looking at it. I tried non iodized sea salt and extra strength piercing aftercare solutions by X-pressions. It was slightly red at first but now it's not and the bump is still there. It actually looks like a teeny tiny boil. Is there anything else I can do to get rid of it? I thought maybe the barbell is too small and it's not getting oxygen. I really like it and want it but if this bump won't go away I have to get rid of it. Should I see about changing the jewelry to a longer one? Can anyone help with suggestions??

    There are two easy remedies.
Crush an aspirin in powder and add a drop or two of water to make a paste. Put this onto the bump and leave on for 15 minutes. Do this for a few weeks.
    -or-
Use tea tree oil. Apply a drop onto a q-tip and rub onto bump.
Both remedies are very inexpensive and have great results.
    Hope this helps you out.
