    PCOS, BC, and Pregnancy
Okay, so I guess I'll start with the fact that I have been to the doctor about my "No Periods" issue, as stated in another question I have asked, "No periods, Neg Tests." The doctor "thinks" I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). We did multiple tests, Hormone levels, Urine pregnancy tests, blood pregnancy tests, an ultrasound, and paps/ pelvic exam. All my hormone levels are normal, I am not pregnant (as of this moment), I do not have any cysts or std's, a couple of months ago I was told by the doctor that I have an enlarged uterus. Last month I had, what seemed like, a period. It was on and off... kind of like heavy spotting. And it lasted for nine days. I am not sure if I can call that a period or not. The doctor "thinks" I am NOT ovulating, but every month, once a month, I have the typical extra vaginal discharge and it's very stretchy, that of which looks like ovulation. If I am getting this type of discharge every month, how can I not be ovulating? What else could it be? Here for the past few days I have been experiencing some cramps like I am on or about to start my period. Could I be getting ready to start? What else could cause this?

The doctor Prescribed me Provera, to make me start my periods. Then they were going to start me on Birth Control, to regulate my cycles. The doctor told me that after being on the BC I could get pregnant 2-3 months after going off the pill. Is this true, if I do have PCOS? What other options could I be looking at besides Meds that could help me get pregnant? Is there a chance that I am ovulating, but just not having periods? Please, help. I am so confused.

I am sorry but I do not know too much about PCOS either. I do know though that doctors sometime prescribe the birth control pill for PCOS and the 2 women that I do know who have it have had success after taking the pill for a few months, and have 3 beautiful children between them.

Maybe it is time to see a specialist? A second opinion when you are diagnosed with something like this is always a good idea.

Thanks for your answers. But now something weird is happening. I'm spotting again. Second time in the past month. My mom told me that what I had the last time WAS a period. Could I be getting ready to have a second one in one month? I really appreciate all the help I'm gettting! :) Thanks to all those who are answering my questions. :) Oh and its been about 1-2 weeks since my last so-called period.

You really should call another doctor and get a second opinion. Since we do not know your full medical or full family history, and cannot do a physical, any advice we give here could cause harm to you under these conditions.

Please call another doctor and set up an appointment for a second opinion.
