I can't remember the name of this film I watched when I was younger.
I remember there was a cave or something and these people (scientists? Explorers?) went in and it was like, prehistoric; cave men and stuff.
There were these ape-like things that would kill the humans and eat them (I remember they'd put their heads on a rock and smash their heads open with another rock). There was a scene where the people had a group of them in a makeshift cage, and one of the baby ape's died and its mam was trying to get a flower but couldn't reach so one of the people got it for her only for a male ape to get really angry with her and scare her off.
At the end one guy stayed behind because he fell in love with a cave woman.
It absolutely terrified me as a child; does anyone know what it's called?
