    How can I help?
I am a canadian citizen and I have a friend in Lebanon who I am looking to help to move to canada. What can I do as a canadian citizen to help him get here. I looked into sending an invitation letter but that just helps him come for a visit. What can I do?

He has to initiate the process himself; passport, travelling visa, etc. You can do absolutely nothing from Canada.

The Visa Invitation letter is a legal document, signed in front of a notary public; the sender is guaranteeing responsibility in every way, including financially for the recipient to visit Canada. I hope you know this person well. You are also guaranteeing that he has a place to stay while visiting.

Here are the guidelines he must follow to remain in Canada:

    Temporary Resident Visa
