    Intractable infection or else..
    Hello,

It all started with a discomfort at the bottom of my neck plus a sour throat for a two months ago, no fewer or anything else except white patches and tiny red protuberances on around my tonsils with a discomfort just on the cavity at the bottom my neck (I guess trachea). I thought it all will go away but then I started have an unproductive-cough with heavy undiscomfort in my throat through neck (like all over my trachea till epiglottis) and the spots disappeared but my throat felt uneasy and was red allover.
I went to a chest doctor and he said I was having a acute asthma on my right-bottom lung lob with a bronchitis. I got scared and wento to a little experienced internal medicine
doctor with the x-ray film; He made some simple hemogram and CRP test and send me off with cough syrup and an expectorant told that I'm having GERD/Reflux with bronchitis.
In the next week my throat started all over again with a fever of 39*C and made me decide to see a otolaryngologist; he inspected my throat with a camera and said I'm having a bacterial infection then priscribed me Cefprozil 500x2. It had my throat symptoms ceased but the cough got heavier with a backpain also with ungoing uncomfort at my epiglottis-trachea so I went to a more qualified chest doctor with P.A. film and he wanted a x-ray film too; It was all the same. He said I have sinusitis too priscribed me Sefuroksim 500x2, and Cefixime after a week.

Now my throat looks and feels fine, the discomfort at trachea, backpain are all gone but left a swelling feel all over my neck, It looks normal but it feel like it is wrapped. Also my lymph nodes are normal recently.

I'm really stressed about that. I've no night-sweats or anything except nightmares of lung cancer.

The problematic ones from my first lab results(CBC, Sedimantation and CRP):
    RDW: %17.9 (Ref. range: 11.5-14.0)
    Eosinophil#: 0.07 (Ref. range: 0.3-1.0)

Last one (Antistreptolysin O Titer is normal):
    CRP: 96.86 (ref. range: <5)
    MCV: 77 (ref. range:79-92.2)
    MONO#: 0.92 (ref. range: 0.30-0.82)

    And the Chest P.A: http://museur.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/pa.jpg

I'm a 21 years old undergrad student with "just at the limit" iron-deficiency since my childhood. I had been smoking for 3 years approximately.

I'm also having a probable infection symptomized with tiny white dots appearing with a little burn-sensation / pain in my mouth, mostly on tongue for like four months.

Have you quit smoking ? That would be my first guess as to some of your throat and mouth problems, and lungs, and trachea.

You didn't ask a question but assuming you want input which I cannot give. You have already seen three specialists, and all gave different diagnoses. Weird.

We can't diagnose here on AMHD; your technical verbiage though leads me to believe that you are some kind of medical student. Would this be correct?

    Hi there,

I'm not a medical student, just graduated vocational veterinary high school. Now, I'm studying Classics. Whatever..

Yes, I'm quitting smoking but that's not easy in this stresfull sitiuation I'm in.

The thing is, all the doctors I've seen said I've bronchitis which could be misdiagnosed.

I know there won't be any diagnostic expert, just thought might be someone who could tell if should I be worried that much after looking at my P.A.

I'm starting sound hypocondriac to myself. I'm going to the last doctor today, hope I'd get satisfied.

Just so may someone could find a help..

I had a tomography yesterday and It was all good. I've to say that don't get too excited or anxious about anything but, if you get really feeling down or afraid to, be checked but be sure that those serious possibilities are really little chances.

You could have every kind of other non-that-serious complications that doesn't require any CT, knowing that there is a radiation exposure.

    Thanks for the answer also.
