There is a princess who is abandoned, her crib floating on water. She is found by an old "witch" who raises her.

Simultaneously there is a young man trying to become a prince (I think?) he meets the princess, and falls in love with her, but believes that she's actually a cat...

There was an old army guy with a plate in his head that needed to be opened when he got angry. I think his name was Suleyman or something like that?
