    Over payments
How can I file my appeal on social sercurity overpayments that was over paid to a parent that was receiving disabaility. And was over paid to them in a account in my name when I was a minor. That they took from me when I became a adult

Do I have this right? You received SS benefits through a parent, and the money was banked in your name by your parents.

You became an adult and SS realized the mistake and took the money back?

What would your grounds for appeal be? If you (or your parents) received overpayment SS is entitled to reimbursement of the "extra" money.

So on what grounds? If you were overpaid SS is ENTITLED to a refund of the overpayment.

If you can prove that their "new" calculation is incorrect and SS did not overpay you, then you have grounds.

SO - what are your grounds for appeal?
