Connect fixed line internet to wireless router
I have a fixed internet line directly coming to my place and plugged into my laptop. I have bought a Linksys WAG 160 N router.
How can I setup this wireless router to create a wireless network at my place? The fixed line which I have goes directly in the Ethernet ports only and I don’t have any cable that can go into the DSL port of the modem?
What is the best way to use this router and make a wireless network?
Are there any converters available to convert this fixed cable so that it can be converted and plugged into the router?

The fixed line comes from a shared wireless router

It is a direct cable that goes into my laptop for internet connection

It sounds like you have the wrong router.
You need a cable router that doesn't have the modem functionality, just routes the incoming connection.

Is it possible to connect the internet first on laptop and then to the router and use the wireless from the router?
