Leaking American Std. tub cartidge fawcet
My tub is dripping. I have replaced the cartridge twice and flushed the valve several times, after wich it stops briefly. I suspect debris in the water. My gas water heater works fine. It is probably 12 + years old, but we have very little mineral in our water. I drained the tank and got very little scale or sediment. My sink screen is clear. EMUD Water has been doing street repairs for about a month a block away, but the guys on the job said they are downstream of me. Help!

I think it is an American Std. Ceremix cartridge. The two I replaced it with were OEM from a local plumbing supply. Here is a picture of a similar aftermarket. Am.Stand Ceremix Tub Cartridge SL1024 by Brass Craft Info and Reviews at DoItYourself.com
